‘Newcastle can spend more than 200 million euros in January’

9 october 2021 – Newcastle United is swimming in the money after the takeover by a Saudi investment fund. It is expected that the English club will invest heavily in the selection in the coming years. The new owner may already be pumping the necessary millions into the club in January.

According to, among others, The Telegraph Newcastle United can spend up to £190 million in the coming transfer window without violating Financial Fair Play rules. It is as yet unclear whether the Saudi investment fund, which represents a value of no less than 367 billion euros, intends to invest heavily in the selection in January.

There is plenty of speculation in England about the players Newcastle United can and want to get. There is a good chance that there will be a coaching change in the near future. Steve Bruce, the current manager of The Magpies, fears for his job. Roberto Mancini, Rafael Benítez, Antonio Conte, Lucien Favre and Steven Gerrard are household names that are being put forward as Bruce’s replacements.

With the Saudi owner, Newcastle United hopes to storm the European top in the coming years. Several English top clubs would have tried to stop the takeover. Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal, among others, saw their attempt stranded.
