Newcastle United was officially acquired by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF), led by Prince Mohammed bin Salman, on Thursday (7/10/2021). This acquisition makes The Toon the richest football club in the world, with the support of PIF, which has assets of more than IDR 6,000 trillion.

Newcastle’s new director, Amanda Staveley, has revealed the goal of winning the Premier League within 10 years. The woman who paved the way for PIF in the acquisition of Newcastle also emphasized that there was no instant way to win.
“Of course we have the same ambitions as Manchester City and PSG in terms of trophies, obviously. But it will take time,” he told Daily Mail quoted Football365.
“Do we want to win the Premier League in 5-10 years? Yes.”
“This takeover is very transformative. We want to see trophies. But trophies require investment, time, patience and teamwork,” he added.
