BROOKLYN (United States) – Kyrie Irving was taken out of the team by the Brooklyn Nets. The Juventus franchise communicated this through the general manager Sean Marks. At the basis of this decision the status of the player who is not yet vaccinated: Irving, according to New York rules, cannot play home games but can train as the training ground of the Nets has been declared a “private office”.
Marks: “We don’t want part-timers”
The official statement of the Nets speaks clearly and is very harsh towards the player: “Given the nature of the situation we have decided that Kyrie Irving will not train and play with the team until he is declared eligible to play. Kyrie has made a personal choice and we respect her wishes but, at the moment, her choice restricts her ability to be a full-time team member and we will not allow any team member to have part-time availability.“.
