Malisse’s stunt from Antwerp ends against the Dutch duo: “Will I return? In the bar!” | ATP Antwerp

After two stunts, no third followed. The impressive course of Xavier Malisse and Lloyd Harris ended tonight in the semi-finals of the doubles. The Dutch duo Wesley Koolhof – Jean-Julien Rojer was too strong in two sets (6-4 and 6-2).

Afterwards, “The X-man” thanked the audience extensively for a special week. “Whether I’m considering a comeback? I’ve thought about it, but I don’t think it will work. The body doesn’t want to go with it anymore. It’s still going for three matches, but today it went a little too fast.”

Finally, Sabine Appelmans asked whether Malisse will make his appearance again in Antwerp next year. “In the bar!” came the answer with a wide smile.

The second against the first seed. The European Open gets the dream final it hoped for. Diego Schwartzman will battle super talent Jannik Sinner for the title tomorrow.

The Italian was the first to qualify for the final battle on Saturday by easily flooring Llyon Harris in two sets. Xavier Malisse’s pool won only two games in both sets.

Schwartzman also needed two sets against American Jenson Brooksby. The first was still hard fought (6-4), but in the next Brooksby didn’t even make it to the scoreboard.
