Lucas Hernandez gets right on appeal and does not have to go to jail | Bundesliga

The facts of the case date from 2017. At that time, the Frenchman was still playing for Atlético Madrid. Hernandez and his partner Amelia de la Osa Lorente got into a heated argument and were both convicted of domestic violence.

The couple received community service and were not allowed to contact each other for 6 months. The two didn’t respect that. They honeymooned together and Hernandez was arrested upon return.

The prosecutor demanded a one-year prison term. Hernandez was eventually sentenced to six months in prison in 2019. The Frenchman’s appeal was initially rejected, but now Hernandez has been able to avoid a prison sentence.

According to Spanish media, he will get away with a 6-month suspended sentence and a fine of just under 100,000 euros.
