Lakers get Avery Bradley back

While we thought that‘Avery Bradley would be in the Warriors’ roster for the season, to everyone’s surprise the Californians decided to cut him, not convincing enough during the preseason. However, he didn’t even have time to become a free agent since Shams reports that the Lakers got him back during the waivers period.

The Lakers had reduced their workforce to 14 standard contracts, in order to be able to sign a player during the season according to their needs. In view of the absent or uncertain players on the back lines for the start of the season (Talen Horton-Tucker, Kendrick Nunn et Malik Monk), they jumped at the chance to retrieve the defender.

Bradley signed for the Miami Heat last offseason, but played little there, hampered by a calf injury. He was eventually traded to Texas as part of the transfer from Victor Olapido. In Houston he also played little: 17 games. Last season in 27 games he shot just 6.4 points at 37.4% including 32.7% from distance, 2.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 0.9 interceptions in 22.3 minutes.
