But if he was PCR-tested, wears medical masks and complies with all other hygiene measures, it is justifiable and safe, ”says Frankfurt virologist Martin Stürmer when asked by FOCUS Online.

Waiting for the dead vaccine? Virologist thinks this is the wrong way to go

It is therefore not advisable to wait until a first such vaccine may be approved in the EU in the spring. “It’s already late by then – we have to get vaccinated now and take precautions for autumn / winter,” warns the virologist.
