Judo Day – Youth win for Judo!

Advertising for the sport of judo

The “Day of Judo” has been taking place on a nationwide level since 2014 and enables clubs and schools to cooperate and thus present the sport of Judo in the school sports halls of the republic and inspire children and young people for Judo. In recent years, thousands of schoolchildren from all over Germany have taken part in the “Judo Day” and “wrestled and fought” together with the judo trainers and teachers.

The nationwide campaign of the German Judo Association (DJB) was well received and many children and young people attended the trial training of their local club afterwards. Today’s students are tomorrow’s judoka! Many collaborations between clubs and schools were also continued after the “Judo Day”. A “win-win situation” for both sides.

Registration and free material

You can register for the “Day of Judo” via the following link at the DJB: https://forms.gle/2JkUVa4cDgxcqHbh6. This registration is used to evaluate the participating clubs and students and is completed in less than two minutes.

Materials in the form of certificates, posters and flyers for independent printing are available on the DJB website in the download area for the implementation of the “Day of Judo”. There you will also find the right logo for your club website and social media channels. The posters and flyers in the eye-catching design enhance your “Judo Day” and the certificates are a nice recognition for all participating students. Use these materials for your school sports campaign! Other materials such as timetables, rulers or judo values ​​posters can be found in the DJB-Shop can be purchased cheaply.

The DJB website also provides various lesson plans for suggestions and orientation and forms for press releases free of charge. However, these only serve as a basis and can be expanded by the clubs.

Search for cooperation partners

Interested schools can search the DJB association database for cooperation associations that are active in school sports. The database can be found at https://www.judobund.de/vereinsdatenbank/. The “Club offers filter” must be checked for “School sports” in order to find an overview of the clubs that are active in the field of school sports.
