Revered NBA sniper JJ Redick announced his official retirement from professional basketball last week.
Redick broke the news on his beloved podcast, “The Old Man and The Three”.
In the days that followed, Redick took an introspective look at his 15-year career in the NBA.
As part of that reflection, during a recent live recording of the show in Brooklyn, New York, Redick offered what he perceives to be his biggest career regret.
This regret? Leaving the Philadelphia 76ers after two seasons to join the New Orleans Pelicans.
“You can’t change a result because a result is beyond your control,” Redick said. “So you can change a decision. I wish there was a way to get back to Philly.

This isn’t the first time Redick has spoken about his experience with the 76ers. He’s become brutally honest about what went wrong with the organization in the past, so it stands to reason that the franchise holds a special place in his heart.

In 940 regular season outings, Redick averaged 12.8 points per game, while shooting 41.5% from behind the arc for his career and established himself as one of the three shooters. most prominent points.
