What do Trie-sur-Baïse (1000 inhabitants), in the Pyrenees, and Copenhagen or Florence have in common? These cities have, in recent years, lined up to appear on the Tour de France map. The first two are part of the more than 700 towns which, since 1903 (date of creation), have been attached to the route of the Grande Boucle; the beautiful Italian had been beaten to the photo finish by Leeds and Yorkshire, despite the support of Matteo Renzi.
