‘Honda vintage’ livery for Red Bull and Alpha Tauri in Turkey – F1 Team – Formula 1

In what the original calendar would have been the weekend dedicated to the Japanese Grand Prix, the Red Bull and Alpha Tauri teams have decided to race with a unique livery to celebrate the alliance with Honda and to give the Japanese supporters the opportunity to say goodbye to the company, as they bid farewell at the end of the season in Formula 1. And so the tribute will take place in Turkey next weekend, where the two Red Bulls by Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez will wear a predominantly white livery, inspired by the legendary Honda RA272 with which Richie Ginther took the first victory of the Japanese in F1 at Mexican GP 1965.

And also the Alpha Tauri will join the salute, writing on the rear wing of the cars of Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda “あ り が と う” (arigatò, thanks ed). Christian Horner (CEO and Team Principal Red Bull) commented: “We were looking forward to giving Honda fans the chance to celebrate our successful F1 alliance at Suzuka. But due to the pandemic it will not be possible, but we did not intend not to give them a tribute this weekend. We will do it in Istanbul. The liveries chosen by our single-seaters will pay homage to Honda’s extraordinary journey in F1. We hope to dedicate another victory to the fans with those legendary colors “.
