Giuseppe Marotta on missing Haaland transfer at Juventus: “One of my greatest regrets”

Giuseppe Marotta once had the chance to bring Erling Haaland to Juventus cheaply. To this day, he regrets that the transfer did not materialize.
The former general director of Juventus Turin, Giuseppe Marotta, spoke about the missed opportunity to lure today’s BVB striker Erling Haaland into Serie A during his engagement with the Italian record champions.
“One of my greatest regrets is the Haaland transfer,” said the 64-year-old, who is now Inter Milan’s board member, at the Festival dello Sport in Trentino: “I was general manager of Juventus and we had the opportunity to buy him for two million euros Get Molde. “
In September, Juventus’ sports director Federico Cherubini had a conversation with Tuttosport reveal that they were interested in Haaland as early as 2017, but that a possible loan deal did not appeal to him.

According to Marottas, it is impossible for Haaland to play in Italy in the near future: “Now it is impossible to see Haaland in Serie A. There is no chance for Italian clubs to sign him next summer.”
