From 5 p.m. live: LASK in the basement derby against Rapid

Third from last against last – the top game of past years turned into a basement derby: Rapid and LASK are running behind expectations in a direct duel on Sunday (5 p.m.). The first duel of the season ended 1: 1 in Pasching – five players from the starting line-up are now missing at LASK, including the entire defense. The selection of coach Andreas Wieland is limited to a total of nine cancellations due to injuries and corona. We report live from 5 p.m.:

With foam at the mouth

“We have injured people, we had Covid,” said Rapid trainer Dietmar Kühbauer. Eight times in a row he was unbeaten against LASK. On Sunday he gets a new task: He had deciphered the 3-4-3 of the athletes, now he probably has to adjust to a 4-2-3-1 of the athletes – and to a particularly vicious opponent. “How they foam at the mouth,” said Tirol coach Thomas Silberberger, admiring the will of the LASK in the second round of the Cup. LASK coach Andreas Wieland: “We have to build on the first half against Tyrol if we want to get something.”
