Friendly: OM Legends wins the Heroes Match

The atmosphere was beautiful this Wednesday evening at the Stade Vélodrome on the occasion of the “Heroes’ Match” between the OM Legends team, made up of former glories of Olympique de Marseille (Drogba, Barthez, Boli, Desailly, Nasri , Pirès, Olmeta, Niang, Cissé …), and Team UNICEF, which brought together former football stars (Trezeguet, Kluivert, Cambiasso, Karembeu, Mendieta, Giuly …) and non-football personalities (Teddy Riner, Pierre Gasly, Martin Solveig, Kev Adams, M. Pokora …).

Trained by Jean-Pierre Papin, OM Legends has largely won 7-4 with in particular a hat-trick from Drogba for his return to the Vélodrome! Ravanelli, Pirès, Cheyrou and Maoulida also participated in the party with a goal for OM alumni. On the UNICEF side, Gasly, Mendieta, Saha and Sneazzy made the nets tremble.

At 1,000 euros per goal, this charity match raised 11,000 euros for the construction of schools in Côte d’Ivoire. The places paid by the 30,428 spectators present and a raffle will increase the prize pool.

OM Legends’ starting XI: Barthez – Beye, Van Buyten, Boli, Taiwo – Nasri, Pirès, Jul – Cissé, Drogba, Ravanelli.

The starting XI of Team UNICEF: Lehmann – Karembeu, Carvalho, Riner, Abidal – Mendieta, Cambiasso, Parker, Kluivert, Pokora – Trezeguet.
