FC Bayern can justifiably hope for a contract extension with Robert Lewandowski. The Pole would like to stay.

Robert Lewandowski would obviously like to extend his contract with FC Bayern early. This is what Christian Falk reports from the Sports picture. Accordingly, the Pole hopes to be able to extend his contract until 2025. A signal that a premature extension of the contract is being considered is the least for Lewandowski, continued Falk.

Lewandowski’s contract with Munich currently expires in 2023. In the previous year, the 33-year-old had set a Bundesliga record with 41 goals this season.

Lewandowski has put bills on file

The world footballer recently announced that he would like to play at the highest level for many years to come. “Physically I’m fit, I have the mentality too. Maybe I can push the bar higher. I’m sure that I can play for at least four more years,” said Lewandowski Sports picture.

Lewandowski made no secret of the fact that he could imagine a new challenge in another country, but emphasized at the same time: “I don’t have to prove myself in another league. In the Champions League, I can compete with the best from other leagues. ” The Pole is currently “100 percent focused on Bayern Munich, I don’t think about anything other than my team.”

Lewandowski and Bavaria: Not always a harmonious marriage

Lewandowski has been playing for Bayern since 2014, and Lewandowski has scored 307 goals in 339 competitive games for Munich. However, the relationship between club and player has not always been as loving as it is now. Time and again he flirted with a move to Real Madrid, especially when Los Blancos won the Champions League in a row.

The handle pot was always the big goal for Lewandowski too. For the chance to hold it in his hands, he once wanted to leave Bayern. The club bosses did not let the Poles go. In 2020 Lewandowski’s great longing was fulfilled: He not only won the Champions League, but was also elected world footballer.
