FC Bayern Munich: Breathe a sigh of relief! Lucas Hernández doesn’t have to go to jail – Bundesliga

Relief at Bayern Munich and defender Lucas Hernández (25).

The French international doesn’t have to go to jail. Department 26 of the Madrid Regional Court has granted the Bayern star’s objection to the arrest warrant and suspended the six-month prison sentence imposed on him.

Hernández now has to adhere to the following conditions: He must not be guilty of anything new for four years and at the same time has to pay 240 daily rates of 400 euros each (96,000 euros). Should he violate these conditions, he still has to go to prison.

The Madrid Regional Court justified its judgment as follows: Lucas Hernández was convicted of domestic violence in 2018, but this relates to incidents in 2015. Since his breach of the judgment on June 13, 2017, he has not been guilty of any further offenses. “His family and social circumstances” have changed so that the execution of the sentence is not necessary to avoid committing further crimes.

Why was Hernández threatened with jail? In 2017, he had disregarded the ban on approaching his then girlfriend Amelia Llorente (34) when he flew on vacation with her – a punishment for violent behavior against his partner, with whom he is now reconciled and married and together with his son Martin (3) Has.
