There was also plenty to do on Saturday. The relief in Zwolle was gigantic, after closing the gates PEC won the first victory of the season. At home, Heracles Almelo was settled: 1-0.
FC Utrecht also kept the points at home by dealing with SC Heerenveen: 2-1. The team of trainer René Hake climbed through the victory to third place in the ranking.
Finally, RKC Waalwijk and Sparta Rotterdam also came into action on Saturday evening. Also in this game, the points remained with the home team: 1-0.
