Cris achieves runner-up in National Children’s Tennis Chihuahua – El Heraldo de Chihuahua

The little Chihuahuan tennis player Cristina Hagelsieb Parra managed to secure the runner-up today in the CDMX 2021 National Children’s and Youth Tennis Championship in what corresponds to the 10-year-old female category in the singles modality, by succumbing in a great match in the final by partials of 2-4, 5-3 and 8-10.

Even when he overcame the disadvantage in the first set of the match against Miranda Renee Fernández by winning the second set by 5-3, in the third and final period both tennis players engaged in a tremendous duel on the court, which left the final figures who awarded the final medals, where Cris hung the silver medal in this event.

During her participation, the small Chihuahuan tennis player, seeded as number 3 of the tournament, fought all the qualifying phases, with triumphs as in her first match against Tabatha Ali Contreras with partial 4-2 and 6-3, to later defeat Ariadna Jimena Rangel with a loose score of 4-0 and 4-0.

Afterwards, she faced Marella Cruz Rava and won with partials of 5-3 and 4-2, then in the round of 16 she beat Marissa Ríos 4-2 and 4-1, while in the quarterfinals she beat Paulina Ocaña and in the semifinals she defeated Abril Goded Luna.

In the same way, Cris participated in the doubles modality, where he teamed up with Nina Charlotte Morales Martínez, reaching the semifinals and showing his quality in handling the racket in the matches he held.
