COVID-19: Matt Nagy must skip his turn

Struggling with COVID-19, Bears head coach Matt Nagy will not be on the sidelines for his side against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday in Chicago.

That’s what the Illinois organization announced on Saturday morning. After having obtained a positive result in a screening test for the disease on Monday, he must still follow the protocol put in place by the circuit. He must obtain two successive negative results at least 24 hours apart to return to the entourage of the team.

In his absence, Special Teams Coordinator Chris Tabor will be the head coach. He has never managed a club in the NFL.

The Bears are currently third in the National Association’s North section by a 3-4 record.
