The British Government and the English football authorities have reached an agreement so that vaccinated players can travel to the countries on the red list and, on their return to the United Kingdom, they do not have to quarantine in a hotel.
This measure, however, will have restrictions and these players will have to be confined for ten days in a hotel of their choice, with the possibility of going out only once a day to train or play.
“Our best defense against the virus is vaccination and these measures will allow those who have received the two doses to travel to fulfill their international commitments in the safest way possible, also allowing them to train and play with their teammates when they return” said a government spokesman.
This is how the Premier League intends to end the disputes caused in the previous window of international matches, when several federations, by not releasing the clubs to the players, threatened to file a complaint with FIFA and to impose sanctions on the players.
Other teams, such as Aston Villa, did give up Emiliano Martínez and Emiliano Buendía, who transferred to Croatia, where they stayed for fourteen days to train with their teammates and not be in a hotel in the United Kingdom. The new measure, however, has not finished convincing everyone, and some coaches, such as Jürgen Klopp, have criticized aspects of it.

“But this means that the players who leave will be with their national team for about ten / twelve days and then they will have to be quarantined for another ten days, away from their families. In total there are 22 days and in two weeks there will be another international break. It doesn’t sound like a great solution to me, “he said.
