Buccaneers: Lavonte David will run out of playing time

The Tampa Bay linebacker will at least miss Thursday’s game, and maybe more.

Lavonte David left the game against the Dolphins with a leg injury. He left the field during the first half and did not reappear for the second.

David suffers from a sprained ankle according to NFL Media. Predictions are that he will run out of playing time. He will be out for Thursday’s scheduled game against Philadelphia, and will be evaluated on a weekly basis thereafter. This therefore means a possible longer downtime.

David has been a force for the Florida defense this year. He played all of the club’s defensive actions until his injury. So far, he has recorded 34 tackles (including 1 for loss), 2 defended, 1 sack and 2 pressure this year.
