Blind 15-year-old wants to be a quarterback in the NFL

A 15-year-old completely blind has achieved his dream by playing on a football field.

“I never once used my visual impairment as an excuse,” were the words of Jansen Bracy, a 15-year-old totally blind man who dreams of playing in the NFL.

Bracy currently owns the Modesto Raiders. He is considered a ruthless athlete, does not hesitate to pass and run touchdowns.

“I told my team that the only difference between me and the other quarterback is that he has a different number, and that’s it,” he told CNN in an interview in California.

Despite his visual impairment, the young man has enjoyed games since he was a child. His father was the one who narrated every detail of the matches. Bracy never doubted that it was his passion.

“There are no limits,” he assured. “If I find one, I will discover how to get around it. I will find a way and achieve my goal in the best way,” he said very sure of himself.

The teenager has been blind since he was one year old when he was diagnosed retinoblastoma, a cancer that causes tumors in the retinas.

During half of his life he underwent, without success, various treatments. When he was 7 years old, he could no longer see, despite this, he was never self-conscious or indecisive. Now aim for the top and by memorizing each one of the plays, he has managed to be one of the most recognized quarterbacks in his region.
