Bayern Munich turns Leverkusen and Kossounou through the minced…

Bayern Munich once again underlined its hegemony in German football on Sunday afternoon. The nine-time reigning champion turned Leverkusen completely through the meat grinder during the eighth round of the Bundesliga. It was no less than 1-5. The 0-5 was already on the board after just 37 minutes.

Halfway through, there were lump sums on the board in the BayArena. Robert Lewandowski (4.) quickly opened the scoring and after four goals in seven crazy minutes the game was over. Lewandowski (30.), Thomas Müller (34.) and Serge Gnabry (35. and 37.) led Leverkusen to the slaughter. Former Club Brugge defender Odilon Kossounou witnessed the humiliation up close in the heart of the home side’s defense. The savior of Patrick Schick (55.) was no more than a cloth for the bleeding in a second half in which nothing was at stake.

Bayern shrugs off Leverkusen in the standings in this way and only takes the lead with 19 out of 24, with a point bonus over first pursuer Borussia Dortmund.

At 5.30 pm Nathan De Medina will visit Augsburg with Bielefeld.
