Basketball Champions League Week 2 Recap – Second win for six teams

Eight matches spread across Europe painted the picture for the second round of the Basketball Champions League regular season. Exciting competitions and also convincing demonstrations at all levels.

Group A includes a few undefeated teams after two rounds. 2017 champion Lenovo Tenerife beat Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari, while Justin Simon managed an 18-point, 12-rebound double-double for MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg in the comfortable victory over Prometey.

SIG Strasbourg’s road triumph over Filou Oostende on Monday marked “game of the week” and loaded a 2-0 record for the French club. Kalev / Cramo defeated Tofas Bursa in the other Group F game.

Pinar Karsiyaka beat Arged BM star Ostrow Wielkopolski with a 2-0 record in Group B. Baxi Manresa also climbed to 2-0 with a road victory over Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem.

Besides Karsiyaka, Turkish side Galatasaray Nef doubled with an away victory over Igokea thanks to DeVaughn Akoon-Purcell’s 31 points. Jerrick Harding’s buzzer-beater lifted ERA Nymburk in front of PAOK mateco.

Groups C, D, G and H will complete the second round next week with multiple additional opportunities for the 2-0 start.
