Baseball – MLB – San Francisco Giants Dominate MLB Regular Season

The MLB regular season ended on Sunday. Boston and New York qualified in extremis for the play-offs. San Francisco has the best record, heading into the finals on Tuesday. San Francisco and Los Angeles shine Los angeles dodgers are the reigning champions. But it was the San Francisco Giants who dominated the National League (NL) and the West Division where both teams appear. Led by Brandon Belt (29 home runs), Mike Yastrzemski, Brandon Crawford and Buster Posey, they scored 107 wins out of 162 games played, the best record in MLB, but also that in team history (against 106 victories in 1904). Second, the Dodgers will have to play a wild card, from Tuesday against the St Louis Cardinals. But LA had a good season, carried by Max Muncy (36 HR’s) and pitcher Julio Arias (20 wins), failing only one length for the Giants (106 wins).

Tampa Bay back in the final? Last year, the Tampa Bay Rays played in the World Series, losing in six games to Los Angeles. This season, the Florida franchise is once again contending for a place in the final, having dominated the American League (AL). The Rays have 100 wins, thanks in particular to Brandon Lowe (39 home runs) and Mike Zunino (33). read also All MLB News Milwaukee, Chicago and Houston as underdogs The Milwaukee Brewers won the NL Center Division with 95 wins and will try to qualify for their first World Series since 1982. For the fifth consecutive year, the Houston Astros will play in the play-offs. They also took away the AL West with 95 successes, thanks in part to hitters Yordan Alvarez (33 HR’s), Jose Altuve (31) and Kyle Tucker (30). Tony La Russa has successfully returned as a coach after a 10-year absence. He guided the Chicago White Sox to the AL Center title (93 wins). The NL East was a little weaker than the others. The Atlanta Braves finished first with 88 wins, topping Philadelphia, which couldn’t snatch a play-off spot.
