Eliminated prematurely in the round of 16 in singles by Tommy Paul, Andrey Rublev extended the fun to Indian Wells, in doubles. Together with his compatriot, Aslan Karatsev, they lost in the final against the pair Peers – Polasek: 3–6, 6–7 (5).
The 5e world is still very satisfied with their level of play, promising for the future. “It’s always a pleasure to play here. A big thank you to our team and to Aslan. We found out with Karatsev that we could play well in doubles as well. This is great news for us ”, rejoiced the Russian during the presentation of the trophies.
Rublev will play doubles again next week, with Karen Khachanov, in Moscow, his hometown.
