Eight teams, divided into 2 groups, will compete from 30 October to 1 November.
The ASD Alghero Basketball Training School will participate in the National Tournament that will be held in Florence with the Under 14 Female category over the weekend. Participation in the Tournament is part of the celebrations that the Association has scheduled for the 35 years of activity. The tournament is organized by the Florence Women’s Basketball and with the patronage of the Municipality of Florence and the Italian Basketball Federation. Eight teams, divided into 2 groups, will compete from 30 October to 1 November. In the red group: La Polismile Torino, ASD Basket Costa, Peperoncino Basket Bologna and Women’s Basketball Florence; in the white group: Firenze Academy, Nuova Virtus Cesena, Azzurra Lanciano and Alghero Basketball.
The Alghero Basketball team that will participate in the Florence Tournament (girls born in 2008-2009) will be followed by the coach Giulio Fenu, by the deputy Martina Mannu and by the manager M.Giovanna Succu. The group, made up of 14 girls, was born also thanks to the collaboration between Pallacanestro Alghero and Basket 90, a collaboration that saw the first results already in the 1st day of the Under 15 Championship (born 2007-08-09), when the Basketball team 90 clearly beat Mercede Alghero with a score of 61 to 36.
