A victory and a setback for Rojas

With a balance of a victory and a setback, the Catalan judoka Mikaela Rojas concluded yesterday her participation in the 2021 Junior World Judo Championship, which takes place in the city of Oblia (Sardinia, Italy).

Integrating the national team, the representative of Catamarca took part in the category up to 48 Kg, where she debuted beating the African Jennie Muneme (from Mozambique) and then lost to the French Lea Beres, in the semifinals of her bracket.

Adding experience at the highest level, Rojas was able to fulfill the objective of being a World Cup player and achieving a victory, a fact more than valid. Congratulations to Mikaela, who will surely now focus on new premises for the 2022 season.

It should be noted that the World Cup will run until Saturday 9 and brings together 495 judokas from 72 countries, in an event organized by the Italian Judo Federation (FIJLKAM) and supervised by the International Judo Federation (IJF).
