A court in Elche investigates a judo teacher for alleged abuse of eleven minors

Elche. The Court of Instruction 3 of Elche has opened a case for continued crimes of sexual abuse and exhibitionism against the person in charge of a gym and judo teacher in the city. In it there are eleven possible victims, of which some are already of legal age, according to sources from the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community. The 60-year-old monitor has been in provisional prison since the beginning of September.

According to police sources informed Europa Press, the victims were between eight and 13 years old at the time of the events.

The monitor, who has also been responsible for a gym that has been open for three decades, was arrested for the first time in July and a second time on September 6. The alleged abuses, which supposedly took place in the sports center, began to be investigated after the complaint of the family of one of the victims, according to these sources, who do not rule out that there may be more affected.

According to the newspaper Información, after the first arrest, the alleged perpetrator was released with charges. However, the police officers received a second complaint last August and carried out further investigations that made it possible to locate a total of eleven victims, including the first, for which he was arrested again.

In the second detention, the Court of Instruction 4 of Elche, acting as guard, ordered as a precautionary measure the entry into provisional prison, communicated and without bail of the investigated, as confirmed by the TSJCV.

This precautionary measure of imprisonment has been subsequently ratified, on September 30, by the Court of Instruction 3, which is the competent one in the processing of the proceedings.
