Dallas (USA), Oct 26 (EFE) .- Slovenian point guard Luka Doncic once again turned the Dallas Mavericks basketball into a one-man game and with a double-double of 26 points, 14 rebounds and seven Assists led them to a 116-106 win over the young Houston Rockets, who lost the second straight game.

The Mavericks (2-1) got a win in the first game at the home of new coach Jason Kidd.

The Rockets lost Dallas’ home opener for the first time after winning the previous three times.

Doncic, the 22-year-old star, did most of his damage inside the arc, finishing with 10 of 25 shots from the field and 1 of 6 3-point attempts.

Forward Tim Hardaway Jr. and backup Reggie Bullock, who had his best game with his new team, each contributed 16 points to the Mavericks.

Latvian center Kristaps Porzingis had another difficult shooting night, starting 1-of-9 before a 3-pointer and leaving shortly thereafter.

Porzingis did not return due to lower back stiffness. He entered the game with a black eye.

For the Rockets (1-3) backup guard Eric Gordon had 22 points as the leading scorer.

Center Christian Wood had a double-double of 16 points and 17 rebounds, while German power forward Daniel Theis had another double-double of 15 points and captured 10 balls under the hoops.

The Spanish power forward, rookie Usman Garuba, for the second consecutive game did not have a minute with the Rockets, a decision by Houston team coach Stephen Silas.
