With the accompaniment of Pan American Silver Argentina, Las Lobas, the Women’s Wheelchair Basketball National Team, began its preparation to represent the country in the South American, which will be played this year at the CeNARD in Buenos Aires (Centro Nacional de Alto Sports performance). With this institutional support, carried out through the Tendiendo Puentes Foundation, Pan American Silver Argentina collaborates in promoting inclusion, diversity, teamwork, dialogue, respect and self-improvement through sports.

In the Las Lobas tournament, they will face their peers from Brazil, Chile, Bolivia and Colombia for a place in the Copa América 2022. The next steps would be the World Cup, the Parapan American Games, and finally the Paralympic Games in Paris 2024.

“Adapted sport, mainly, gave me the opportunity to represent my country, which for an athlete is the maximum to which one aspires. When the opportunity presented itself, I did not hesitate, I was dying to put on my shirt and sing the anthem. But adapted sport also helped me a lot to accept myself with my disability.
