President Moon said, “The Paralympic Games were held under difficult conditions, but I am very proud of our athletes who showed great performances.
He added, “Including the two silver medals won at the men’s badminton event held today, the Korean players presented a total of 24 medals to the people.”
President Moon said, “But the number and color of the medals don’t matter. Participating in the Paralympic Games is already a great victory in itself,” and encouraged them by mentioning the names of the athletes one by one.
President Moon said, “People lavishly applauded the marathon runner Yoo Byung-hoon, who finished the marathon through the rain and sprinting with all his heart. I will never forget the fighting spirit of wheelchair basketball and wheelchair tennis players, and we are all medalists and winners.”
