Wassenaarders.nl | Badminton at BC Wassenaar is possible again!

The past badminton season had a strange course due to the Corona pandemic. Fortunately, the badminton players of BC Wassenaar (main sponsor Light Design van Loenen) were able to return to Sporthal de Schulpwei in the summer months.

The new 2021-2022 season is now upon us!

The new season officially started on Monday, August 30. Competition players have resumed training, the recreational players showed themselves again on Monday evening and the over-55s play their game on Wednesday morning. Finally, the youth will start again on Saturday 4 September. The entire coming season will be played in De Schulpwei, the start of the new sports hall to be built is eagerly awaited.

Do you also feel like playing badminton? Feel free to come and take a look at De Schulpwei! This is possible at the following times:
Monday evening recreational: 20:00 – 22:00
Wednesday morning 55+ recreational: 10:00 am-12:00 pm
Saturday morning youth: 09:30 – 11:00 o’clock

Of course BC Wassenaar follows the current guidelines of the RIVM, fortunately sports are possible again within those guidelines. On the website www.bcwassenaar.nl All playing times are listed, furthermore you will find a lot more badminton information on this website. The competition will start with a home game on September 18. We will also keep you informed of the ups and downs of the Wassenaar badminton players in the coming season.

The National Sports Week starts on 17 September. You can read more about this in next week’s Wassenaarse Krant, especially when it comes to sports in the hall. In addition, the national Badminton Association will start an action in September to introduce more people to the beautiful sport of badminton. BC Wassenaar has also joined this action.
