“That big screen behind the court shows a close-up of the shoe, the racket, the ball, but the shot is always late,” explained Alexander Zverev in an exclusive interview at Eurosport.
“When he throws the ball up, you can still see the close-up, which then suddenly becomes smaller. The ball then just disappears,” explained the man from Hamburg.

“Every time a point begins, they zoom in on a person in the audience,” the world number four had complained to chair referee Carlors Bernardes.
“The stadium control is simply too slow with the re-editing. It is counterproductive if nobody is allowed to move in the stands, but a fan is shown jumping around on the big screen,” said Eurosport commentator Wolfgang Nadvornik, analyzing the situation.

And so Zverev spoke vehemently to chair referee Louise Azemar-Engzell in the quarter-finals to provide a remedy. The Swede also picked up the phone and passed on the complaint.
The exciting question is now: Will it work at least in the semifinals to modify the video screen in a player-friendly way?
