Andy Roddick used an interesting metaphor to describe Novak Djokovic’s strategy against young Jensen Brooksby. “First Djokovic takes your legs … then your soul”, tweeted the American during the meeting.
On the court after his victory, the world number 1 was invited to react to this sentence … a little special but so revealing of his mentality.
« Thanks Andy, I take it as a compliment. Only the first part. Because for the second part, I’m not taking the soul of anyone. We are all beautiful souls so I appreciate everyone. But I’m going to take your legs off, that’s for sure! », slipped an amused Nole under the laughter of the public.
