In practically all polls for the greatest talent of world tennis, the name of Bernard Tomice was in the forefront. The hot-blooded young man was considered a future superstar of world tennis, who was soon to overthrow Federer, Nadal et al.
Finally, everything indicated that. At the age of fifteen, he won the junior Australian Open, making him the youngest winner in the history of this category. At eighteen, he played in the Wimbledon quarterfinals. and earned him the title of the youngest quarterfinalist of a grand slam tournament since 1990. But that was also his biggest success to date in the Big Four tournaments.
It was already clear then that Tomic would have to win a battle of his own nature. And here he loses the whole line. The four tournament triumphs in smaller tournaments did not by any means fulfill the potential of the once huge talent of world tennis.
Trouble and misery on the courts
More and more often, a native of Stuttgart, the world media began to “feed” scandals more than successes on the court. Flabby matches played without interest, insults of fans, referees and opponents, destruction of rockets, wild parties, drugs … This is a brief list of Tomic’s performances in recent years.

Although Tomic started the season well, when he broke through through the qualification to the second round of the Australian Open, that was practically everything. He did not go further in the challengers until the second round, he did not succeed even once in qualifying for the ATP tournaments.
