Daniela was planted in the final, winning all matches by two sets to zero. In the final, she faced Macarena Fernández from Almeria. The Soriana from the Badminton Club Soria-CS24 took the first set, yielding the next two games. The young Soriana had options to beat the Andalusian, belonging to the Spanish team, giving reasons for her inclusion in the next calls of the national team.

For her part, Nora Martínez, in the sub19 category, more than met initial expectations, reaching the quarterfinal round. He passed the group stage and the round of 16 to place himself among the eight best rackets in the Master.

Another national level player, Javier Barrios, from the Soria Badminton Club won the double in the U17 event held in San Sebastián. Javier fulfilled the predictions, achieving gold in both the men’s singles and mixed doubles with Nerea Eraso from Navarra. This competition will be worth it to be on the edge of the national top ten in both modalities.

Finally, four senior players from the Soria Badminton Club and two from the AD89 traveled to Guadarrama, all of them obtaining medals in various modalities. Without a doubt, the most outstanding performance was the one signed by the Soriano Víctor Ortega who hung two medals both in individual and in the doubles in category A1.

In the doubles final, Víctor faced his teammate, David Hernansanz, who along with Sebastián López, from CB Leganés, were defeated in three sets. In the same table, the Burgos Sergio Latorre and José Romero won the bronze medal. David completed his performance in the individual modality with a third place.

The last medals came in category B. The Soria couple formed by Manuel Acero and Santiago Martínez won the silver medal in the men’s doubles, losing two games to one in the final. In individual, Santiago Martínez looked down from the competition in the semifinal round.
