The Los Valles Club approaches the national archery hunting championship

This Sunday at the Faustino Alonso de Ciguñuela hunting complex the 2021 Regional Bow Hunting Tour Championship was held. Organized by the Arqueros Tradicionales club of Valladolid, it had the participation of 34 archers from the community, who competed for the medals by making eight Different shooting proposals, where not only marksmanship counts, but also knowledge of the hunting law, since it penalized hitting non-hunting (foam) animals, or exceeding the established time.

The Los Valles de Benavente Club sent a squad of ten archers, of which five participated in the unofficial section, getting to the podium Ángel Salagre as third classified in senior compound bow, Carolina Comesaña first classified in traditional senior, Carmen Hierro first in traditional female cadet and Unai Rabanedo first in traditional male cadet. For his part, Roberto Hierro was in eighth position.

In the official section, Francisco Barrigón took the gold for the veteran compound bow, Antonio Vega the bronze for the traditional senior, Atila Vega the gold for the junior men’s compound bow and Claudia Vega the gold for the traditional junior female. Bernardo Martínez got the fourth position in traditional senior.

These medals allow them to qualify for a place in the next national championship of this modality, which will be held in Castillejo de Robledo on October 22.
