The International Paralympic Committee hails the performance of the Judo for the visually impaired from Iran

According to IRNA, the 16th Paralympic Games have ended and the Iranian sports delegation has positioned itself at the 13th position in the world.

The Iranian judo team was the only discipline to win 100% of the gold medal. In this discipline, Vahid Nouri and Mohammad Reza Khairollahzadeh won gold. The International Paralympic Committee praised the dazzling performances of these athletes.

“Iranian Vahid Nouri, who won a bronze medal at the World Championships, won his country’s first Paralympic gold medal in judo. Nouri beat the English judoka in the final – 90 kg to win the gold medal. ”Noted the report of the International Paralympic Committee.

After the success of Vahid Nouri, his teammate Mohammad Reza Khairollahzadeh was able to win the championship in weight + 100 kg and bring the number of Iranian medals in judo to two.
