The IES La Orden wins nine medals in San José de la Rinconada – Deportes Huelva

Weekend of new achievements for the IES La Orden Badminton Club. The Huelva team has obtained a total of nine medals in both the U-15 and U-19 categories.

In the first place, in the sub-15 category, Hugo Martín and Miriam Flores (CB Huelva) achieved the bronze medal in mixed doubles after winning two matches of the four disputed, which made them obtain third place in the classification.

Already in the sub-19 category, the IES La Orden stood out from the hand of its flyers. The first to do so was Álvaro Morán, who, being under-17, has won a tournament in the under-19 category in men’s singles. The man from Huelva has beaten his own teammate, Alejandro Pérez, in the final; but also Guillermo Figueras (Arjonila), who started as seeded 1.

After sweeping the previous matches, Morán managed to win the final against Pérez after a highly contested duel that was resolved by 14-21, 21-17 and 21-11.

In the case of the women’s individual, Karen Martín took the podium to receive the silver medal. The athlete from Albiazul played the final against Cristina Teruel (CB Huelva), which she could not face (9-21, 13-21).

Already in men’s doubles, Alejandro Pérez and Lucas Torre (Granada) showed a quality that they have wasted on the mat on numerous occasions. In the final, the duo had as their rival the couple formed by Álvaro Morán and Christian Arias (Arjonilla), whom they easily beat 21-13 and 21-9 respectively.
