‘Standard is fishing behind the net, Angers refuses to let attacker Bahoken go’

Standard In the closing hours of the summer mercato, Liège is still looking for a white blackbird to strengthen the core. Stéphane Bahoken was apparently on the radar, but the attacker of SCO Angers does not continue his career in Liège.

Journalist Sébastien Denis, who works at Foot Market, tweets that Standard has proposed a paid loan to the French Ligue-1 club. However, that proposal has relegated Angers to the trash. Incidentally, also did Troyes AC her best to win Bahoken. They aimed for a loan with a purchase option, but that bullet did not go through the church either.

Bahoken seems to be staying where he is at the moment, namely at Angers. The 29-year-old Cameroonian is in his fourth season. So far his counter stands at 21 goals in Ligue 1. This year he did not go further than four substitutes. Standard apparently saw an opportunity in him, but it didn’t come to that. With João Klauss and Jackson Muleka, Mbaye Leye has two prominent strikers at his disposal for the time being.
