Fourteen years of famine, that obviously has enough to make you angry or at least to present you at the start of an Eastern derby like starved to death. Racing attacked the part foot to the floor, like a Dimitri Lienard perfectly recovered from his stroke of fatigue in Lyon.

The captain, served at the right tempo by Habib Diallo, was, a bit stupidly it’s true, mown down by Alex Oukidja, out in his feet in an uncontrolled manner. Ludovic Ajorque took the Metz doorman against the odds to get the ball rolling as well as possible.

Strasbourg residents have not necessarily mastered their subject afterwards. But they mastered the Lorraine offensives, or rather, the Lorraine movements, because none really turned into an offensive concluded with a strike worthy of the name.

In this little game, Racing ended up taking the blow against. Gerzino Nyamsi, the rock from Rennes, started from his surface with great strides before throwing Habib Diallo into the depths. The ex-Messin played with captain Dylan Bronn to deceive Oukidja, too short on the shot (24 ‘).

The same Diallo offered himself a brace before half-time, following a long one-two with his attacking friend, Ludovic Ajorque. A chest check and Oukidja was closely beaten in the nose and beard of a Bronn who was still helpless at the time.

3-0 at the break, the first victory at La Meinau against the Grenats, 14 years later, smelled good.

In the second half, for a long time, the derby was mainly worth it by its extraordinary atmosphere. On the ground, Metz, stunned, could not do it and, on the Racing side, a few transmission failures prevented the cons from being completed.

It was not until the 77th ‘to see the Lorrainers regain their spirits. But they came across a Mats Sels also sublimated by the atmosphere. The Belgian goalkeeper pulled the head of a Dylan Bronn out of his left window in redemption mode.

And when for once, Matz Sels was beaten, on a curled shot from the entrance to Kouyaté’s surface, he was saved by the base of his left post. Like what, on September 17, it was written that nothing could happen to Racing.

With seven points in six matches, the balance sheet is more positive. Racing is provisionally in 10th place, before the other meetings of the 6th day. On Wednesday, he will put the cover back in Lens, monopolized this Saturday by another tasty derby, that of the North against Lille.
