On September 12, with the start of shooting of the badminton individual event of the 14th National Games, a new chapter in the badminton event of our province also opened. On the same day, Zhao Peiyi of the Shaanxi Provincial Badminton Team partnered with Wang Haoyuan and Han Yuxin to participate in the men’s doubles and mixed doubles competition. This is the first time that a professional badminton team of our province has appeared on the stage of the National Games.
The Shaanxi Provincial Badminton Team was established in July 2018. In order to prepare for the 14th National Games, the Provincial Table Tennis and Badminton Center hired Zhang Hongbao, a former coach of the Chinese badminton team and the head coach of the Jiangsu Badminton Women’s Team, as the head coach. Zhang Hongbao has trained famous players such as Ge Fei, Gu Jun, Wang Shixian, He Bingjiao, Gao Fangjie, etc. Under his training, the Shaanxi Provincial Badminton Team has competed in many events including the National U17-18 Badminton Finals in just one year. Make a breakthrough. In the qualifying match for the Fourteenth National Games held in April this year, our province sent a total of 18 players with 10 men and 8 women to participate. This team, with an average age of only 18, dared to work hard in the qualifying matches and finally won the men’s doubles. , Mixed doubles two events admission tickets.
Before the game on the 12th, the China Badminton Association issued a commemorative certificate and a commemorative medal of “Glorious Coach” to Zhang Hongbao and many other gold-medal coaches over 60 who are still struggling in the front line. In the top 32 mixed doubles match that day afternoon, Zhao Peiyi/Han Yuxin’s opponents were Guangdong’s Xiao Shicheng/Zheng Xuhui. Zhao Peiyi/Han Yuxin, who participated in the National Games for the first time, played well in the opening stage, but the Guangdong combination gradually controlled the rhythm of the field after the first game came to 10 draws. In the end, Zhao Peiyi/Han Yuxin lost with a big score of 0:2. The last match of the night was the men’s doubles confrontation between Zhao Peiyi/Wang Haoyuan and the current national team and Hunan team Peng Jianqin/Cui Hechen. In the first game, the Hunan combination won 21:13. In the second game, Zhao Peiyi/Wang Haoyuan gradually found their status. The big score was evened with 21:12. The first half of the deciding game was very stalemate, and both sides came and went. After the 12th draw, Peng Jianqin/Cui Hechen suddenly exerted their strength and finally won the game 21:16.
