Serie A: Olivier Giroud positive for coronavirus finds himself in isolation in Milan

The Rossonero club specifies that “Olivier has not been in contact with the rest of the team since the league match against Cagliari” last Sunday (4-1), which saw the ex-Montpellier striker, Arsenal and Chelsea score a brace on their debut at San Siro.

Giroud is absent from the start of the French team, which met this week for the qualifying matches for the 2022 World Cup.

The 34-year-old Frenchman arrived in Milan this summer, where he will have the task of supporting and regularly blowing the star Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who will celebrate his 40th birthday in early October.

It seems uncertain for the next match of the Milanese against Lazio Rome on September 12 (3rd day of Serie A). The Rossoneri could however find on the occasion of this meeting “Ibra”, operated in June of a knee and who resumed collective training for a few days.
