Ronaldo grabs all the spotlight at Manchester United, Varane…

Manchester

The arrival of Raphael Varane was immediately ‘closed’ by the presence of Cristiano Ronaldo. Varane is okay with that because he doesn’t need to be the center of attention.

Varane joined Manchester United from Real Madrid in the summer window, after which he reunited with Ronaldo, who was signed from Juventus. The Portuguese football superstar made a brilliant start by scoring three goals in his first two appearances though the Red Devils only pick one win.

The other spotlight was directed at Ronaldo because of his behavior on the sidelines when MU was defeated by Young Boys. The five-time world’s best player shouted and participated in giving instructions with team manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Behavior that is considered possible will weaken Solskjaer’s role.

The amount of attention to Cristiano Ronaldo reduces the spotlight on other new Manchester United players such as Varane. In fact, this top French defender is no less beautiful by helping United only concede two goals in three matches and even creating one assist in the first match against Wolverhampton.

The big spotlight on Ronaldo doesn’t leave Varane with negative feelings. The 2018 World Cup winner emphasized that his goal was only to contribute to Man United instead of being the center of attention.

“No, I don’t play football for this. I just want to help the team,” he told Premier League Productions, who was quoted as saying Mirror.

“I just want to play as well as possible. I just want to improve my performance and be myself on the pitch. I want to perform as well as possible, that’s my goal and my mentality,” concluded Varane.
