RL West: Münster fails, Aachen crisis intensifies

SC Preußen Münster fails at the derby in Ahlen, Aachen’s crisis continues to worsen and SV Rödinghausen has scored its first victory in the sixth attempt.

The SC Preußen Münster has left important points in the fight for promotion. In the derby at Rot Weiss Ahlen, coach Sascha Hildmann’s team couldn’t get past a 1-1 draw. The upcoming opponent RWE, however, won their home game against VfB Homberg 3-0.

The Ahlen deserved already at the break with 1-0. Jan Holldack had brought the Wersestädter into the lead (42.) Shortly after the break, the game was interrupted because of the use of pyrotechnics. Münster came back better after this interruption. Simon Scherder was held in the Ahlen sixteen. Joshua Holtby converted the penalty that was due to equalize 1-1.

The Münsteraner had left such a possibility in the first half. After a foul on Pulido, Gerrit Wegkamp had placed the penalty well next to the Ahlen housing. Ahlen’s keeper Martin Velichkov was injured in a parade after just 23 minutes. Daniel Szczepankiewicz came into the game for him. Aachen crisis intensifies

The Aachen crisis is worsening: The Kaiserstadters were also defeated 0: 1 against SC Wiedenbrück. Ousman Touray scored the decisive goal for Ostwestfalen four minutes before the end. In the last Friday evening game, the U21s of 1. FC Köln defeated the Bonner SC 3-2. The Domstadters take second place.

RWO game is canceled

The games between FC Wegberg-Beeck and SV Lippstadt will follow on Saturday. Borussia Mönchengladbach’s U23 host KFC Uerdingen. The Wuppertaler SV meets Fortuna Cologne. And SV Straelen has to deal with the U23 from Fortuna Düsseldorf on the Roman road at home.

The game of Rot-Weiß Oberhausen at Sportfreunde Lotte, however, is canceled. The hosts had four positive corona cases in the run-up to the game. Four other players had to be quarantined. The game of Sportfreunde against KFC Uerdingen scheduled for Tuesday must also be postponed for the same reason.
