NFL football fans got their money’s worth in the first week of activities.

In the last edition of the podcast “Du champ gauche”, host Denis Casavant returned to what surprised and disappointed him in the first games of the 2021 campaign.

Casavant said he was pleasantly surprised by the performances of the Philadelphia Eagles (32-6 win over the Atlanta Falcons) and the Pittsburgh Steelers (23-16 win over the Buffalo Bills).

He was disappointed, however, with the poor performance of the Green Bay Packers and their quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The Wisconsin roster received a severe 38-3 correction against the New Orleans Saints.

“Aaron Rodgers had 15 passes in 28 attempts for just 133 yards and was the victim of two interceptions,” said Casavant. It felt like the season hadn’t started for “A-Rod”. It didn’t seem to tempt him more than it should. I’m not sure the Packers will be very happy if this is the kind of season Rodgers is going to have. ”

Still on the NFL, Casavant spoke about the second week of activity games that grab his attention, including the one between the Buffalo Bills and the Miami Dolphins.

The host also took advantage of his podcast to discuss the potential MVP in major baseball and the surprising start to the season on the Quebec university football circuit.
