New judokas welcome – Dornbirn

The judo club Dornbirn had a successful start to the judo autumn season.

Dornbirn. The atmosphere in the middle school in Dornbirn Bergmannstrasse was exuberant last Friday – both with the hosts, the UJC Dornbirn, and the almost 40 children who sniffed “judo air” for the first time. Finally another course for beginners could take place and everyone was relieved. The course for judo newbies will now take place on Fridays from 3:15 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for children aged 5 to 12 years. Head coach David Böhler was enthusiastic in view of the great interest. Accordingly, the trainer team got down to business at the start. The program included 90 minutes of fun and exercise – an important part of training for the next generation. With playful exercises, the beginners became enthusiastic about the judo sport. And after the first course and in view of the smiling faces of the children, it was definitely clear: “There are a few new judokas at the start!” , emphasizes David Böhler.

There were further reasons to cheer for the Dornbirn judo club on the past weekends. At the first tournament in Weinfelden, Khangerel Batkhuyak (+90 kg) was the only representative from Dornbirn at the start. With two sovereign victories against two Swiss, he won the first gold of the autumn season for Dornbirn.
