On the occasion of the associations forum on Saturday, the Chanteausiens discovered the novelties of the season: the arrival of basketball and the change in judo.
Like many sports clubs, ASB Semoy, a basketball club, must share the town’s sports facilities with other associations and is looking for available training slots. “The USMC (Municipal Sports Union of Chanteau) kindly granted slots to the Chanteau gymnasium so that a new collective sport can take hold,” explains Christel Bottelo, mayor. Thus, Chanteausiens will be able to join the Semoy basketball club. The organization of training sessions will depend on the workforce, which may vary with the obligation of the health pass in the gymnasiums.
Also new, after fourteen years in the service of the judo club, the office handed over to a new team of six volunteers. Wishing to communicate more with neighboring municipalities that do not offer judo, the club participated in the Fleury association forum. As for teachers, Patrick Méry (technical manager of Loiret and 5 e dan) continues to teach and Nicolas Guerret (2 e dan) joins the team.
