Monta Ellis and Gerald Green tested by the Rockets | NBA

Now 36, Monta Ellis wanted to be given a chance, and he’s already two. On Thursday, we learned that he had been tested by the Mavericks and The Athletic adds this Saturday that he also made a try for the Rockets.

So far, nothing has filtered through these two workouts, and the goal of the former Warriors back is to get an invitation for a “training camp”.

Franchises are allowed to have up to 20 players for the preseason, but places are very expensive, even for the “training camp”, and Monta Ellis finds himself in competition with free agents of good level. In Portland, for example, executives invited Dennis Smith Jr. and Marquise Chriss.

Most Improved Player in 2007, Monta Ellis has posted career nearly 18 points and 5 assists on average, but he has not walked an NBA floor since the Pacers cut him in 2017. At the time, he was still shooting at 8.5 points average for 33 tenure.

The Athletic also reports that Gerald Green, who knows the club well, has also been tested by Houston.
